Role summary
The Executive Assistant is the operating system that lets the founder of Blue Peak focus on the work only he can do: sales, deal acquisition, technology, partnerships. You will own the calendar, the inbox, travel, tax coordination, vendor relationships, personal logistics, and the document flow for our property portfolio. You will do it by running AI agents (Claude Code, NotebookLM, automated workflows), not by typing into chat boxes. This is not an admin role, it is the systems architecture for the founder's life and work.
We will look hard at Kelowna candidates first (the founder is here, in-person time is useful), but a strong remote-Canada candidate will absolutely win.
What we are building
Real estate operations has more solvable problems than almost any industry, and most companies are not solving them. We treat acquisitions, transactions, and the founder's calendar like engineering problems. Build better systems, eliminate bottlenecks, automate what is repetitive.
We are a 5-person team and growing across three brands:

We use Claude Code (the CLI) daily to do real work, not Claude or ChatGPT chat. We need an EA who thinks the same way: sees chaos in the founder's calendar and inbox and wants to build the system that eliminates it, not the person who replies to emails manually.

The AI standard (read this twice)
This role is for someone who already operates in agentic AI. Not chat. Agentic.
- ›You use Claude Code (the CLI tool from Anthropic) to run actual workflows on your machine, not just chat with an LLM.
- ›You can spin up agentic processes that read files, write files, run scripts, execute multi-step tasks.
- ›You have skills, plugins, or prompt files you have built and can show us.
- ›You are comfortable in a terminal.
- ›You are not afraid to write a small Python or Bash script if it would save you 30 minutes a week.
- ›You understand the difference between "I use ChatGPT to draft an email" and "I have an agent that triages my inbox, drafts replies, flags decisions, and sends a 5pm digest".
If you have used Claude Code less than 10 hours total, this is not the role yet. Spend a weekend with it before you apply. If you have never opened a terminal, this REALLY is not the role.
Success outcomes (your mission for the next 12 to 24 months)
Success Outcome #1: Buy back the founder's time through agentic workflows
Goal: By Day 14, the founder is no longer touching the calendar, the inbox, or the property tracker. By Month 6, you are buying back 30+ hours per week across all owned domains, and the majority of that work is being done by agents you have built, not by you typing.
- ›Own the calendar end-to-end. Color-coding per our system. 6-week-ahead audit weekly. 15-min buffer rule.
- ›Process the inbox twice daily using a Claude Code workflow that drafts replies, classifies, surfaces decisions.
- ›Build and run the daily admin sync.
- ›Run AI agents for meeting prep, the 7pm Night Brief, travel research, expense filing.
Success Outcome #2: Zero surprises in the property portfolio flow
Goal: Implement a tracking system that surfaces every stuck property, every missed deadline, every dropped vendor follow-up. Reduce "where are we on X" questions to zero by Month 3.
- ›Maintain a single live tracker of all properties in the portfolio.
- ›Drive each property forward by pinging the right people (acquisitions, our external transaction coordination team, attorneys, agents).
- ›Electronically record incidental documents via Simplifile.
- ›Use agentic workflows to monitor email and portal updates and auto-update the tracker.
Success Outcome #3: Build the AI-native operating system
Goal: By Month 3, "AI runs, you review" applies to at least 4 of your 8 day-1 domains. By Month 6, you have built and committed 6+ Claude Code skills/scripts that did not exist before, all documented and reusable.
- ›Personally execute every domain in the first 30 days to fully understand it.
- ›Layer Claude Code agents on top of the work you understand.
- ›Document each agent / script / workflow in Notion and commit to a personal claude-code-skills folder.
- ›By Month 6, the EA's git commit history is part of how we evaluate performance.

- ›Treat every founder interaction like your reputation is on the line.
- ›Show up to the interview with a Claude Code session ready to demo, not just talking about AI.

Schedule and compensation
Schedule
- ›Monday to Friday, Pacific Time overlap required (online by 8am PT, reachable through 4pm PT minimum).
- ›Canadian residents only.
- ›Daily team check-ins typically mid-morning Pacific.
- ›Not a nights/weekends role.
- ›Kelowna candidates: 1-2 days per week in-person; remote candidates: fully remote.
Compensation
- ›Base Salary: CAD $60,000 to $90,000 depending on experience and Claude Code fluency demonstrated (disclosed in pre-qualification call).
- ›Performance Bonus: Quarterly, tied to founder hours bought back and percentage on inbox-sourced revenue you originate.
- ›Benefits: Group health benefits, 3-4 weeks PTO, $1,500 to $3,000 professional development budget, all tools paid for (Claude Max, ChatGPT Plus, NotebookLM Plus, GitHub, etc.).
- ›Equity: Not at hire. Possible after 12 months of strong performance, especially if growing toward Chief of Staff.
- ›Mileage reimbursement for in-person Kelowna days (if applicable).
