// My Story
Two years ago, I was on a roof fixing air conditioners.
I spent almost three years working in commercial HVAC and refrigeration while flipping cars on the side.
I started learning the U.S. real estate business from scratch.
Today, I run a company that buys properties most investors walk away from, works through complex title and ownership problems, and gets them back to a point where they can be sold clean.
// Where I started
I did not come from real estate.
I worked in commercial HVAC and refrigeration across hospitals, restaurants, commercial buildings, and industrial environments, everything from ice machines and lab coolers to large mechanical systems and specialized equipment.
When I started, I thought I would stay in the trade for five or ten years. Get my journeyman ticket. Maybe start an HVAC company or become a partner in one. Save money. Eventually start buying real estate. That was the plan.
On the side, I flipped cars. I would buy them damaged, fix them up, clean and detail them, and sell them. It was a completely separate side hustle, but it taught me a lot about buying something with problems, understanding what needed to be fixed, and creating value on the other side.
I got good at the HVAC trade, and I got bored. I wanted to build something.
// The leap
I could not see a clear path into real estate in Canada that looked anything like what I wanted to build.
So I started learning U.S. real estate. Webinars. Books. YouTube. Podcasts. Courses. Calls. And a lot of mistakes.
The more I learned, the more I realized I did not need to wait five or ten years to start doing what I wanted to do.
In October 2024, I quit my job and went all in.
For the next five months, I spent most of my time on the phone trying to make something work. My first deal closed in March 2025. I put the money back into the business and kept going.
// Building the system
In 2025, I acquired properties across 13 states. Then I started doing the opposite of what felt natural. Instead of adding more markets, I started removing them.
I pulled out of more than a dozen states and concentrated the operation in South Carolina so we could go deeper, build better systems, and get very good at solving a specific category of real estate problem.
A lot of what we do falls under curative title work. The house itself is often not the complicated part. The ownership and legal situation around it is.
- Probate
- Foreclosure
- Missing or scattered heirs
- Quiet title actions
- Partition actions
- Estates never properly completed
Sometimes several of those problems exist at the same time. We figure out what is actually preventing the property from moving, identify the people involved, coordinate the legal process required to resolve it, clear the title, and get the property back to a point where it can be sold clean. That complexity is where we operate.

// Building the company
The first stage was proving that the model worked. The next stage is building the company around it.
We already have a team, and now we are continuing to build deeper across operations, sales, software, legal, and the systems that connect all of it. The goal is to make the business increasingly process-driven, measurable, and repeatable.
Hire strong people. Train them well. Make expectations clear. Build the systems around them. Hold the standard.
We use software, automation, and AI heavily because I do not believe scaling should automatically mean building a huge back office. The company should get better as the team gets better and the systems get better.
// Why I do this
I like building the business. But I also like what building it demands from me.
Leadership. Judgment. Patience. Betting on people. Making decisions without perfect information. Owning the outcome end to end. The hard parts are part of the reason I do it.
I would rather build something difficult alongside people who want to get better than spend my life doing work I already know how to do.
Good gets you on the team. Great keeps you on the team.
